So, I did it. I didn’t think I would do it but I did. Yes, I adapted Gate of Torment (Book 1 of Hell Gates), into a screenplay. It was such a challenge but rewarding experience that I know I will consider writing some more screenplays. The craft is much different than writing a novel, but I felt that in some areas I was more free to reveal specific details visually and provide a large impact to the storyline. Thought I stayed true to the overall story, I did have to squeeze the story down below 120 pages. I submitted it to four screenplay competitions. Let’s see how many rounds I can make it through. Fingers-crossed!!!
